For Gregory Phillips, acting has never just been about performance—it’s been about purpose. From the first time he stepped onto a high school stage, something clicked. He didn’t just enjoy acting—he understood it, deeply and instinctively.

Over the decades, that understanding has only grown richer.

Born with a passion for exploring the human condition, Gregory’s journey took him from the classrooms of New York City to the theatres of Minneapolis and ultimately to the heart of Hollywood. Along the way, he’s trained with some of the best, worked across genres, and earned multiple degrees—not to chase accolades, but to become a better storyteller.

But Gregory didn’t take the easy road. After earning his BA in Theatre at Bard College—where he brought to life roles from Shakespeare to Shepard—he continued to act while pursuing his MFA in Creative Writing and a PhD in Composition and Rhetoric. His years of teaching sharpened his intellect, empathy, and voice skills that he brings to every performance today.

In 2015, Gregory made the boldest move of his life: he left behind a stable career in education to follow his first love—acting. He packed his car and drove to Los Angeles, hungry to get back on screen and stage. He never looked back.

Today, Gregory continues to build a career that honours both his intellect and his instinct. With a look that’s mature, grounded, and distinguished—and a presence that commands quiet attention—he's the kind of actor who makes you lean in.
